Planet earth's total surface area is 510,065,284km², in which 70.8% (361,126,221km²) is covered by water and the rest, 29.9% (148,939,063km²) is covered by land.

The earth is divided into 7 continents - Africa, Antartica, Asia, Australia (Ocenia), Europe, North America and South America. All of the continents are inhabitated by humans except Antartica. However, there are non-permanent residents consist of government scientists and researches based in permanent research stations throughout Antartica.
