Day 2 - The Underwater World

On Day 2, after taking a light breakfast, we decided to go to the Underwater World, Langkawi. It wasn't very far from the hotel we stayed but still we need to drive. there's wasn't many people visiting that day so therefore we were able to enjoy the exhibits fullest.

The Dataran Lang (Lang Square)

Next on the schedule, we drove to the Dataran Lang or Lang Square. One of the famous landmark in Langkawi, this particular square or attraction spot a big man-made eagle.

The weather wasn't very welcoming as to be seen on the left picture but nevertheless, the storm or rain never came. Even so, I caught some pretty amazing photographs with my Nokia 6670.

We took some photographs and enjoyed the view before we headed for our second shopping spree at Jalan Pandak Mayah again.

Look at the shape, it's like a pregnant women

After lots of shopping and a quick lunch we headed to what we consider as our final tourist destination for our trip - The Galeri Perdana. This gallery is located about a 20 minutes drive from the Kuah town but the drive on the way was breathtaking!

Nothing much can be said from the visit to the Galeri Perdana except that it is an educational visit. In the gallery, I saw the many many gifts that our prime minister, Dr. Mahathir Mohammed received during the tenure in the government. I was not allowed to take any photographs in the gallery but overall I can say it's worth visiting.

Alas, after a very tiring day, we went back to the hotel.. We swam and played in the hotel's swimming pool for about an hour and then took turns to shower. Slightly after nightfall, we took dinner at a nearby restaurant and retire to bed early.

The next morning, we pack our bangs (and shopping goods), went to the airport and took a flight back to Kuala Lumpur.
